HYALURONIC ACID

HYALURONIC ACID

What is it?

Hyaluronic acid is a macromolecule that is present in the extracellular matrix and forms part of various tissues, especially connective tissue. It is one of the three essential components of the dermis, together with collagen and elastin.

What is it for?

Hyaluronic acid has two main properties:

Viscoelastic

It helps stabilise the skin structure as it promotes the reorganisation of the extracellular matrix, providing a filling, firming effect.

Hygroscopic

Thanks to its water retention capacity, hyaluronic acid has a high moisturising capacity, both deep down and on the surface, which means that if used regularly it improves the skin’s hydration, elasticity, flexibility and firmness.

Where can I find it?

Due to its moisturising and firming effect, hyaluronic acid is contained in products such as Ionto-Filler Lip Contour, Krono-Age Serum and Expression Gel.
