Aesculus hippocastanum (oral)

What is it?

Horse chestnut, Aesculus hippocastanum (oral), is a medicinal plant that has been used since ancient times to treat various ailments. Extracts rich in phytocompounds such as escin, flavonoids, polyphenols, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids, among others, are extracted from the seeds of this tree.

What does it do for your skin?

Escin is the main bioactive compound in horse chestnut. Numerous studies have shown its efficacy in various medical conditions due to its anti-inflammatory, vasoprotective, anti-oedematous and antioxidant properties.
