Centella Asiatica (Oral)
What is it?
Centella asiatica (oral) is a nutritionally important plant and a valuable traditional medicine in Southeast Asia. Its extracts are rich in triterpenoids and carotenoids, but also contain vitamins B and C, proteins, essential minerals and some other phytonutrients such as flavonoids, volatile oils, tannins and polyphenols.
What does it do for your skin?
Numerous in vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated important health benefits related to anti-diabetic, wound healing, antimicrobial, antioxidant and neuroprotective functions. Its active components also have nourishing and moisturising properties, which help renew damaged connective tissue by stimulating collagen synthesis.
