Enoxolone

What is it?

Enoxolone or glycyrrhetinic acid is extracted from the Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (liquorice) root. It contains a triterpene called glycyrrhizin which turns into glycyrrhetinic acid. It has a structure similar to a corticosteroid and therefore a soothing action.

What does it do for your skin?

Topically, glycyrrhetinic acid has a soothing and repairing effect.
