Hyaluronic Acid (Oral)

What is it?

Hyaluronic acid (oral) is a polysaccharide from the GAGs family, composed of repetitions of a disaccharide formed by D-glucoronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, which is found naturally in the human body, mainly in the skin, but also in the skeletal tissue, lungs and prostate.

What does it do for your skin?

Thanks to its water-binding properties, hyaluronic acid is involved in moisturising and supporting tissues. Studies also show that oral supplementation with hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration.
