Lotus flower extract
What is it?
Lotus flower extract is an ingredient made of a combination of the extracts of two types of lotus flower (with a synergistic action): The Egyptian lotus (Nymphaea caerulea), a flower characteristic to the Nile River and greatly admired by the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt, and the sacred lotus (Nelumbo nucifera), grown in Asia and considered the true lotus of Buddha. Both are widely used in traditional medicine.
