Lutein

What is it?

Lutein is a carotenoid that is concentrated in the retina of primates, where, together with zeaxanthin, it forms the macular pigment. Lutein is traditionally known for its blue light filtering and antioxidant properties.

What does it do for your skin?

Studies show that oral supplementation plays a key role in maintaining human health, as it provides benefits for numerous health problems, including neurological disorders, eye diseases, skin irritation and protection against solar radiation, among others.
